My Story

Professional Training

I have my master's degree in counseling and I am a professional drug and alcohol recovery coach.

My Career

I have worked as a a family life educator, addictions counselor and mental health counselor for over 30 years.  I am the founder of Recovery Road in Adrian, Michigan.

Specializations​

As a recovering alcoholic and addict with 46 years of sobriety, I understand firsthand the interconnectedness of these issues. My personal journey has been marked by mental, emotional, and financial hardships, as well as other traumas and health concerns. Through unwavering faith, the support of friends and family, I have overcome these obstacles.  I draw upon my own experiences to assist others in rewriting their stories, empowering them to reclaim control over their lives. Together, we will embark on a journey towards healing and transformation.

​​The Personal Side

Outside of my professional life, I am active in my community, serving at my church as a Grief Share leader and mental health for women group leader.  I enjoy spending time with my kids and grandkids.
